I was lucky enough to be invited to the Free People showroom last week to see their Autumn Winter collection, this was perfect timing as I’m just starting to fully get into the swing of my Winter wardrobe. The team are so lovely and they have an amazing work space – the interiors alone left me wanting to go home and re-design my living room!
I’ve always loved the brand so to see behind the scenes was a dream. A major trend for them is velvet – I especially love the velvet trouser suit below, it really nails the pyjama trend just add heels and a statement earring for nights out this Winter.
Military is a huge trend for them, I adore the details on these jackets below and have managed to get my hands on the navy cropped Eisenhower jacket on the left and will be wearing this with flared jeans and boots for a 70’s look this Winter. I also love the colourful fur trend they have going on, especially mixed with a sporty element like layering a hoody underneath with jeans – the way they put things together is so creative and unique you end up wanting the whole collection!
Another one of my favourite pieces from the collection is the Heartbreaker mini dress it comes in 4 colours and I love all of them! It’s got a beautiful victorian lace detail on the neck which is also reversible so can be worn with a high neck or v neck. I love the oversized silhouette and it works in both seasons. It can be worn in Summer with sandals and in Winter with a leather jacket and ankle boots as seen here…
